Synarthroses - types of joints that do not move
Ampiarthroses - slightly movable joints connected by fibrous cartilage
Diarthroses / Synovial - joints that are held together by ligaments and are freely movable

Ball and Socket Joint
Description - The ball shaped head of one bone fits into a depression of another bone.
Movements - Circular movements, can move in all planes, and rotation is possible.
