Body Cavities
Dorsal Cavity - includes the cranial and spinal cavities, houses the central nervous system
Cranial Cavity - contains brain
Spinal Cavity - contains spinal cord
Ventral Cavity - consists of the thoracic, pericardial, abdominal, pelvic, and abdominopelvic cavities
Thoracic Cavity - contains the lungs, heart, esophagus, trachea, and the thymus gland
Pericardial Cavity - contains the heart
Abdominopelvic Cavity - contains the abdominal cavity and pelvic cavity
Abdominal Cavity - contains the stomach, liver, spleen, gallbladder, small intestines, and most of the large intestines
Pelvic Cavity - contains the end of the large intestines, urinary bladder, and reproductive organs
